Earned Income Experts Help Foundation Grantees, Nonprofit Leaders Diversify Revenue Through Business Planning
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chicago, Illinois, October 18, 2012 — No Margin, No Mission™, the social enterprise and national consulting practice that helps organizations with a social mission diversify revenue, expand impact, and build a lasting future through entrepreneurship, innovation, & business strategy, announced the addition of several new clients to its rapidly expanding practice.
Among No Margin, No Mission’s recent wins are foundation and nonprofit clients in Florida, New York, and Washington State, which include Allegany Franciscan Ministries, Catalyst Miami, Medication Assisted Recovery Services (MARS) Program, and AtWork! No Margin, No Mission also added a new project from one of its existing clients, Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR).
No Margin, No Mission has established a much-needed niche to help nonprofits identify entrepreneurial ways to gain financial stability and independence by reducing their dependence on grants and donations. This is particularly important as the economic challenges of recent years have left many organizations unable to grow, thrive, or even survive. Operating from the premise that many nonprofits have created assets of value that can be sold to other stakeholders to help generate financial resources for their organization — such as curriculum, trainings, keynote speaking engagements, consulting, and a whole host of other offerings — No Margin, No Mission helps leaders apply innovative thinking, entrepreneurial practices, and business strategy to generate new income sources, diversify revenue, and expand impact.
Michael Oxman Managing Partner and Principal
According to Michael Oxman, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of No Margin, No Mission’s Eastern U.S. office, “We are honored to be working with such innovative and entrepreneurial foundation and nonprofit clients from around the country who value the importance of revenue diversification and business strategy as a way to plan for the future of their organizations or ones that they support.” Mr. Oxman continued, “These leaders understand that innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity are essential to the evolution and long-term growth of nonprofits, and that they can no longer rely on an approach that is business as usual.”

Among their new clients, there is agreement that No Margin, No Mission offers a fresh, innovative, and highly valuable expertise that is not widely available from other consulting practices. According to Miguel Milanes, Allegany Franciscan Ministries’ Regional Vice President in Miami-Dade, “We embrace the principles of entrepreneurial thinking and business practices that No Margin, No Mission subscribes to, and are delighted to be working with them – along with our community partner Catalyst Miami — on an Earned Income Training and Business Planning Initiative.” Mr. Milanes continued, “We look forward to sharing this exciting training opportunity with nonprofits in our community, which we believe will allow them to consider ways to grow and sustain their business capacity for many years to come.”
|Walter Ginter Project Director Medication Assisted Recovery Services Project
Walter Ginter, Project Director of Medication Assisted Recovery Services (MARS) Program in New York City, echoed a similar belief by saying “No Margin, No Mission offers an important role to nonprofits that are in need of effective, new ways of generating financial resources for their organizations beyond the traditional sources of donation and grant funding.” Mr. Ginter continued, “No Margin, No Mission helps nonprofits develop earned income strategies for their products, services, and other intellectual assets as a way to generate new revenue streams for their organizations so they’re better able to achieve their missions.”
