The Community Foundation of Sarasota County, with generous support from The Patterson Foundation, is pleased to present an exciting new Workshop and Business Planning Opportunity for nonprofits in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties.

PART 1: EARNED INCOME WORKSHOP WITH NO MARGIN, NO MISSION™ (Registration required)              

Wednesday, November 6th, 2013 / 9:00am-2:00pm / Lunch is included

If you’re interested in exploring earned income revenue generation in a highly engaging, interactive, and informative half-day session, you’ll want to register for this unique workshop. Presented by the nationally recognized No Margin, No Mission™, this workshop has received rave reviews recently from nonprofit leaders in Miami-Dade and West Palm Beach.

The experts from No Margin, No Mission™ will introduce the topic of earned income revenue generation in a hands-on, action-packed, and highly productive half-day session. As part of this unique training opportunity, participants will gain insight into earned income through understanding its most fundamental principles, and will also apply the concepts to their own earned income ideas.

Thanks to generous support from The Patterson Foundation, the workshop is free to nonprofits that have an updated profile in The Giving Partner. No more than 2 people per organization may register. Participants should include members of your leadership team (CEO and/or a board member).

Who: Nonprofit Executive Staff and Board Members (Training will be limited to a total of 75 participants on a first-come, first-served basis; no more than 2 representatives per organization).

PART 2: ONE-ON-ONE BUSINESS PLAN COACHING & TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE WITH NO MARGIN, NO MISSION™ (Application Required)                                                                                      

November 7th, 2013-February 21st, 2014

As follow-up to the earned income workshop, 4 nonprofits will be awarded 1:1 coaching and technical assistance for 14 weeks with No Margin, No Mission’s™ consultants for business plan development focused on a specific earned income offering.  Selection will be based on answers to a simple online application that addresses a variety of questions about each applicant’s earned income idea.

Who: Nonprofit leaders with a promising earned income idea are encouraged to apply. All applicants must be affiliated with organizations that have an updated profile in The Giving Partner and must attend the Earned Income Workshop.

When: Online applications are due October 25th. 4 nonprofits will be notified by October 31st. Business plan coaching and technical assistance will take place November 7th, 2013–February 21st, 2014.

Where: Initial business plan kickoff session will be held at the office of 4 participating nonprofits on November 7th-8th. Following the onsite session, coaching and technical assistance for business plan development will take place via the phone and Web over a 14-week period.
